=Introduction=
Randomdata is a group of fine people who wants to do more in the life of technique. 
We want to research, have fun and expand our knowledge.

The idea came up in December 2008 when [[User:Fish]] was having a chat with Eric Michaud. 
The Netherlands did have some hackerspaces but not in the Utrecht area. So Fish was thinking, he couldn't do this alone, why shouldn't he do this with [[User:kahits]]? 
So one phonecall was just enough to get the idea rolling.... Randomdata was born!

So for now Randomdata will be a roaming hackerspace, because we just need to start up and gett things done!
We don't have any base location yet but we hope this will change soon. There are some idea's to work on :-)

This page is about the HP un2400 Mobile 3G Network Adapter, which is running on a Qualcomm Gobi chipset. My HP Compaq Mini 701ED has this 3G module in it's belly. 
The chipset runs fine under MS windows XP, where HP has made some nice drivers and software programs for. But problems arise when you want to get this chip running under Linux or the latest Windows 7. And that is excactly what I will be doing. 

== Windows 7 Support ==
This will be short, the card will work with Windows 7 Build 7077. Install the HP Connection Manager, the driver (Multi-WWAN HP) and install HP Wireless Assistant. If you have completed installing all the above, just do like you normally do. Connect using the Connection Manager, it will give an error. Fine.. Now.. Set up dialup networking, connect to this phone number, if you have Tmobile NL, *99#. And there you go, your netbook is HSPA connected to the internet on the latest Windows... I will get into more detail soon, posting links to the excact packages.. 

== Linux ==
You'll have to install some driver stuff into your kernel, copy some firmware from the windows driver and run the script that I will be posting here soon. The card will even work on Linux, but remember, it's Alpha quality!

Like we discussed in our last meeting we will be 'investigating' the Tor network. How, what, when (,where) is still to be determined.. 

Unfortunatly my dedicated server went [http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=awol AWOL], I guess this must have somehow a connection with the [http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=leased+ip leased IP] the ISP provided. It was running some scripts, while it ran a Tor exit node, to collect statistical data about what my box was doing.. But that is all gone now :(

==Welcome to Randomdata.==

Randomdata is group of people who want to do technical stuff, we build, we break, we create and we invent.

Currently we are in the startup phase and doing the official stuff. But we are also looking for a own space or at least a place where we can meet and do sessions. Our goal for this year is to have our own hackerslab. 
To have some fun we already started to do homespace sessions. Mind hacking, soft hacking and hard hacking are some of the things we do but there are actually no limits (unless it's illegal).

Hack the planet!

This wiki has been created for the members of Randomdata to leave information, start-up & maintain projects, etc. etc. 
Feel free to leave, create, modify, etc any page. This is a wiki! :D

Time goes fast! And our list of to do’s is expanding. 
Some small projects are already started. We did some pilot sessions with the board. 
Because this is in the private space of Fish we can't invite you all. But if you would like to attend for an evening just give Fish a sign. Or maybe you can share some interesting stuf with us?
